This week's assignment comes from Jerry:

"In honor of the first week of autumn, write a song that sounds like fall. Bonus points for something that sounds like summer changing to fall. Oh, and no words.”

That’s right - an instrumental. Now, I’ve always considered instrumentals to be taboo for MM3AM, for several reasons. One, because it arguably goes against the basic concept of SONG writing. And two, because I don’t want anyone to be constrained by their production capabilities, and instrumental arrangements lead one in the direction of more complex production, and I don’t want that to be a hangup. But Jerry insists, so I’ll let it go through, just this once. But I’m going to give you the option - if you feel hemmed in, technically, by this assignment, you have the option of submitting both an instrumental and a vocal version of your song.
