The wind is whispering a secret name A wilderness no one could ever tame Lose yourself in the trees Lose yourself as long as you please The water flows down to the valley The sunset brings the day's finale Find yourself far from home Find yourself all alone I come from the land far below The mountains are calling, and I must go The blue mist hangs on distant mountaintops A view for miles seems like it never stops Lose yourself in the scenery Find yourself in the greenery release yourself from all you know The mountains are calling, and I must go release yourself from all you know The mountains are calling, and I must go

I’ll Play With The Band 4-13-17 Well it’s been a real bad day And you just wanna go hide Pack up and drive to one of your favorite places Just three hours away…. I travel light when I go Ya never know how hard the wind may blow Dirt turns to clay, clay into sand It feels so good to be a traveling man Chorus: I’ll play with the band, eat oysters when I can Grab my pretty wife,go walk and watch the sunset Times like these, you know I just won’t forget Is it my turn to drive? I’ll keep it under eighty-five Muddy rivers turn to black water swamps Country kitchens and modern truck stops As we drive across the bridge The sea and the marsh down below Fill my lungs with good salt air Man I’m so glad we’re almost there Chorus… I’ve been here for three days now May not leave for awhile I’m all relaxed and my batteries are charged Going back to the real world is gonna be real hard

Nothin' but kangaroos as far as the eye can see Hey, where's Jason? He was standing right beside me Come down from a long flight at the bar in our hotel Then we've got a story to sell Rachel's mom called to say she didn't get in She's with the band now, but you know she's just a friend You Am I plays at the corner record shop I hope this never stops One mile either way from our home to the venue Not a single sunless day and Cooper's on the menu Only 10 feet from the bar to the bed The Crown & Sceptre is where we'll lay our heads We're playing football, but it's Australian rules Had brunch with the players, a pitcher of Moscow Mules Took a car for a test-drive on the wrong side of the street Don't know where this will lead One mile either way from our home to the venue Not a single sunless day and Cooper's on the menu Only 10 feet from the bar to the bed The Crown & Sceptre is where we'll lay our heads Tried to rock the Casino, they said we were the best Had to duck out early to hang with INXS We said our goodbyes, "We'll be back in a year" And then we disappeared

I put my tools in the box I disconnected all the neon lights I can’t be bothered with your clocks I’ve had my fill of all these jumped-up nights Sometimes a good soul’s had enough Sometimes I’m past the point of no return Between the scrapple and the scruff Sometimes I wanna see the whole thing burn Everybody scream and shout Gonna show you what it’s all about Going where the sun can bleach away our pain Put away your poison pen The kids are on their way again Going down south for the smell of sugarcane Sugarcane
