I Cant quite hear you now
all the fluids are building in my ear
You're sounding so distant I wish you'd speak louder to me
It hurts when I swallow now
It's hard when I have you inside my mouth
I'm restless these nights when you're scratching at my throat
Replicate in me
Spread and Breed in me
Have your way do what you need to
So long as you'll soon be gone
The Poison is under my skin
Chemicals are driving me out of my mind
I'm washing it off me over and over
Pour out the liquid now
Taking clothes off just to clean them again
and the Little one still chews his legs when he's not asleep
Replicate in me
Spread and Breed in me
Have your way do what you need to
So long as you'll soon be gone

Life is orange and white
Let me hear you scream bobcats fight
Life is orange and white
If practice makes perfect they will be alright
Bobcats stand up show your orange and white
Glenn high bobcats fight fight fight.
Had to cancel our vacations
My oldest boys on jv
He's a freshman playing football
They practice seven days a week
Twice a day
So he can play
Life is orange and white
Let me hear you scream bobcats fight
Life is orange and white
If practice makes perfect they will be alright
Bobcats stand up show your orange and white
Glenn high bobcats fight fight fight.
Grab your helmet pads and play book
Don't forget to tie your shoes
The talk around the breakfast table
Is man zone and cover 2
It's all I see
We live and breathe
Life is orange and white
Let me hear you scream bobcats fight
Life is orange and white
If practice makes perfect they will be alright
Bobcats stand up show your orange and white
Glenn high bobcats fight fight fight.

When you were born we promised not to lie to you
No Santa Claus, no sugar-coated platitudes
After all, your mum and I had learned to lose
And somehow found a way to win together
And now you're tough, you'll be alright, bring on the day
It won't be long, another week, for summer's play
I'll walk you to the bus and send you on your way
You'll say, "I'm nervous, daddy," I'll say "why?"
I'll be quick to erase
The frightened look on my face
We'll buy the pens we'll pack the pack and lace yr shoes
We'll buy the notebooks with the cats and kangaroos
And late tonight, yr mum and I will hit the booze
And try not to think about the old days
I wanna make an armored suit
Or find a size 1 combat boot
Yes, you're right, it's scary
And I might have lied about the tooth fairy
And you'll make friends, they'll come and go
And a few of them will bruise your soul
Cause some people suck and they'll have their own way
And I'd give everything to be there every day
But I can't
They won't let me
I used to think I had a better way to love
Bypass the snuggly stuff and lay down hard wisdom from above
There are so many things I wish that i could say
But you'll have to learn them in your own way
Yes, you're right, it's scary
And I might have lied about the tooth fairy
And you'll make friends, they'll come and go
And a few of them will bruise your soul
Cause some people suck and they'll have their own way
And I'd give everything to be there every day
But I can't
They won't let me

Hook Your Thumbs
©clay howard
your looking over here
I'm looking over there
when maybe somewhere in the middle we'd find
the answer for the question of the problem we are facing
but were all afraid of crossing the line
we got a lot of fingers
pointing at all of the ringers
when looking in the mirror we're blind
the answers for the questions of the problems we are facing
is at the start of the line
hook your thumbs
don't point your fingers
you cast your vote
yeah i still remember
look at home
then try and lose your temper
hook your thumbs
don't point your fingers

Growing up fast
Not a day goes past
Where I don't give thanks
For my little ones
Growing up fast
Try to make it last
A little longer...
But they're growing up so fast
Something about this summer man
I can't believe the changes
Wake up one day, conversations
And Older faces
Seems like it was yesterday
When the big guy H arrived
Now he's six acting like sixteen
And the twins are right behind
Now they go away
for ten days
and I'll be solo and missing them
Summer camps and walking miles
Look around don't see babies
Taking a trip to gramas house
Can't believe it's so crazy
Half of me is excited
To be fee
The other half will miss them terribly

Suuusan - Naptown

The radio rips the dreams out of my head every day
somebody needs me to do something every day
But then I take a gander at the calendar and see two words too long gone
No events today
I checked there's no mistake
No events today
I think I’ll take a trip to Naptown
I’ll enjoy this anomalous respite because it lasts for a day
Soon morning until midnight I must go go go, every day
It will be another fortnight until I meet those words again
No events today
I checked there's no mistake
No events today
I think I’ll take a trip to Naptown

Who's ready to head north?
It's not very far, for what it's worth
We landed there and opened up our eyes
We left it all behind
Memories locked in our minds
A home we can't replace, but we'll sure try
You'll love the view from here
And soon the leaves will disappear
And frame the mountain 20 miles down south
We loaded up the truck
We boxed the plates and with any luck
We won't break a thing when we take them out
Jack Daniels on the porch
Jim Beam in the hall
Jose Cuervo holds some more
We did not drink them all
All the shoes are in Grey Goose
Man, we got it made
This is a liquor box serenade
The carport pours down rain
The Beatles over the fireplace
A secret trail from the bedroom to the blue
The wall fell to the floor
We never wanted for anything more
Than a home to live & love and that's the truth
Jack Daniels on the porch
Jim Beam in the hall
Jose Cuervo holds some more
We did not drink them all
All the shoes are in Grey Goose
Man, we got it made
This is a liquor box serenade
I need a new rhyme scheme
Maybe something in between
The light & the dark
A princess & a killer queen
Who's ready to head north?
It's not very far, for what it's worth
We landed there and opened up our eyes
Jack Daniels on the porch
Jim Beam in the hall
Jose Cuervo holds some more
We did not drink them all
All the shoes are in Grey Goose
Man, we got it made
This is a liquor box serenade

Corky - The Bright Side

The Bright Side
She’d been fine all summer long and then the second day of school
She came home with a fever and a real bad sore throat too
We took her to the doctor and he did a couple tests
He said she’s got strep throat, to take some med’s and get some rest
Look at the bright side
The schools help build your immune system really very well
A cesspool of the latest germs with every homeroom bell
What better place to send your kids
Bacteria figured out just where to hide
Look at the bright side
A big nest of yellow-jackets right beside the path
A short walk through the woods is all it tool to feel their wrath
I ran out getting’ stung with crazy arms waving though the air
My young had seen the nest before and asked why I went in there
Look at the bright side
The EPI Pen manufacturers have to make a living too
To get so close to nature is something everyone should do
That must be what my young son thought
As to let me have this experience in my life
Look at the bright side
SOLO
Week after week I sit around and write these songs
Everybody tells me that they think they’re really strong
But no one’s come to say that on their next big release
That they’d like to sing my song and here’s a check for 50 G’s
Look at the bright side
I won’t worry about that money and all the taxes that I’d pay
And the calls to write more songs’d be too much trouble anyway
What better way to keep your day job
And stay out of the paparazzi’s eye
Look at the bright side
Look at the bright side
Look at the bright side
Look at the bright side
