Hello When did we decide not to say hello When did the world get too small for us all You never know you might make someone's day To just give a smile and say ‘Hey’. Hello - Hello Hello It’s such an easy word to say Hello - Hello Hello Go out and say it to someone today You might make a friend And love’s sure to grow When somebody says, Hello Back in the day it was rude not to say Something to someone who’s passing your way Is the world too afraid have the people outgrown To reach out a say hello Hello - Hello Hello It’s such an easy word to say Hello - Hello Hello Go out and say it to someone today You might make a friend And love’s sure to grow When somebody says, Hello Th bricks in the wall The lines in the sand They all go away when you do what you can To let down your guard And just find a way Just say Hello A stranger is only as strange as you make them to be It’s one word to say There’s so many things that you might give away The diamonds are cold and the flowers will fade For someone in sorrow you might see a glow When you offer a kind hello Hello - Hello Hello It’s such an easy word to say Hello - Hello Hello Go out and say it to someone today You might make a friend And love’s sure to grow When somebody says, Hello If somebody says, Hello

You say all but until all really means all It won't be true You say why but ignore the cries How many must die under threads of blue Sometimes you don't have all the answers Sometimes you gotta shut up and listen Sometimes it's not about you You say you're blind to colors you find and you really don't mind people who are different from you That's a good start you're changing your heart time to upset the cart and the people around you Sometimes you don't have all the answers Sometimes you gotta shut up and listen Sometimes it's not about you Now we're taking a stand So reach out your hand Across this land We can make a change Sometimes you don't have all the answers Sometimes you gotta shut up and listen Sometimes it's not about you You say all but until all really means all It won't be true

so you want to start a little war
you want to swing your little fists But you won’t sign your name
on all those stories that you twist Cause I know how you live your life And I know where you keep your heart And I won’t play the sucker
 when your tinderbox shoots sparks
Don’t you tell me how to think Don’t you tell me how to feel Don’t you tell me how to breathe You don’t wanna see me kneel All medicine, no sugar You’ve been breaking rocks so long
you have lost the tools to build burned my last good grace In all the dignity you killed You weren’t there when they smashed the lights You won’t be there when the bloodshed starts But sure as hell you’ll claim you’re
still the sheriff in these parts Don’t you tell me how to think Don’t you tell me how to feel Don’t you tell me how to breathe You don’t wanna see me kneel All medicine, no sugar

about

It’s my turn for the assignment. I had a really fancy assignment all thought out, but then it occurred to me that we’ve all got a lot of inner turmoil right now. Seems like a bad time to put any constraints on the writing. So I’ll leave the assignment open this week.
