When you used to be mine I bought you flowers when you used to be mine I held the door for you but things they changed you ran away you said that we could still be friends and you'd like it that way Now I met your new man and he sure is pretty his lips look soft his hair is thinning he looks like Jason Statham When I come over to your house I feel he's looking at me strange yeah I've got a sweet ass But its just exit only I'm sorry but tell your boyfriend I'm not gay I swear when you're not around he's looking my way It gets uncomfortable, guess he thinks you're ugly, I do too I'm sorry but tell your boyfriend I'm not gay

Better Listen up its about that time To put the rock down Take em all for a ride 3 seconds on the clock Yeah the game is tied You got the baseline Now take it inside and Slam jump off the ground you twist and turn around Don't even make a sound Hands way up in the air Like they just don't care They're never coming down Heading home at the end of the day Stay in the bike lane don't take the alley way Wanna look left when you turn to the right If you forget to better hang on tight or Slam jump off the ground you twist and turn around Don't even make a sound Hands waving in the air Like they just don't care They're never coming down Standing against it when it's standing against you Don't worry bout the bruise There's nothing you can do Slam jump off the ground you twist and turn around Don't even make a sound Hands way up in the air Like they just don't care never coming down Up late it's the middle of the night You turn the light on heard a noise outside Sneaking through the shadows with a baseball bat then it jumps out but it's only the cat. Slam jump off the ground you twist and turn around Don't even make a sound Hands way up in the air Like they just don't care coming down

Come Clean All I want to do is come clean I wrote a song when I was home sick Sitting alone in my home Trying to find some honesty but only find myself alone Alone with frustration And my own history So today I don’t sing for you I sing for me and me alone All I want to do is come clean This is a song about a moment Right here right now. I will sing it out loud In hopes that it kills the pain I wrote a song about all my joy And it ain’t about you All I want is to come clean All I want is you and me You and me I built a ship from driftwood Found on the shores of desire Sailed half way around the world Then set that ship on fire. I built a home without a vision Of the weight it would hold When the wind pushed it down it didn’t seem to hold You and me All I want to do is come clean All I want to do is come clean All I want to do is come clean

Sally sells seashells by the seashore every Saturday Peter Piper picks a peck of pickled peppers, never pays Tongue tied and twisted yeah you're doin it wrong Just see if you can sing along Toy Boat, I want my toy boat, toy boat, toy boat Seventy seven benevolent elephants, Avez vous un grande crayon? The big black bug bit the big black bear badly on his butt But the big black bear barely cared he called the big bug buttercup Tongue tied and twisted yeah you're doin it wrong Just see if you can sing along Toy Boat, I want my toy boat, toy boat, toy boat Seventy seven benevolent elephants, Avez vous un grande crayon? Betty Botter had some butter, "But," she said, "this butter's bitter. If I bake this bitter butter, It would make my batter bitter. But a bit of better butter, That'd make a batter better. So she bought a bit of butter – Better than her bitter butter – she baked it in her batter; And the batter wasn't bitter. So its better Betty Botter Bought a bit of better butter.

All the things that seem far away Give your life up for nothin' Gone tomorrow, here today Let me tell you 'bout the things I see Lend an ear for the payback Hear you tell me what you wanna be Lean in, lean in to love Lean in, lean in to love Mend the fence, then you scale the wall Free your mind and then it's starting Close your heart, you begin to fall Give my regards to your hero du jour Talk of the town for an hour Turn your back on what came before Lean in, lean in to love Lean in, lean in to love Your heart is beating faster Don't know what comes after Another small disaster Lean in, lean in to love Lean in, lean in to love

about

This week's assignment, from Jason:

"I want to feel like my team is winning. In 2.5 minutes or less… get to the meat of this kick ass rock and roll song. I don’t care what you say or what it means but I want to “sing along” even if I don’t understand what I am singing. This “feel great fast” idea was inspired by the Welsh band Biffy Clyro and their kick-ass song, “Woo Woo” (2:18). Another inspiration for the idea is Big Drill Car’s “In Green Fields” (2:19). Think Nirvana (Territorial Pissings 2:22) or early Foo Fighters (Big Me 2:12) with nonsensical but catchy sounding lyrics. I’m sure they had meaning but I never understood a damn thing. The songs just make me feel like my team just scored. It’s a good feeling. Write a short, kick-ass, catchy, rock song."
