I Seven white horses Come to me in dreams I don’t know what they're wanting I know not what it means To see seven white horses Appearing in my dreams II I can hear a tongue a talking Cryin’ out, “Poor Me!” In the distance lay valley Then beyond that lie the sea I can hear a tongue a talking Cryin’ out “Poor me.” III Seven white horses Reared up majestically And the whippoorwill sang haunting Playful melodies As seven white horses Reared up majestically IV Somewhere a chime is ringing And the sun erased the sky Then air goes black and septic And I cough a cloud of flies Somewhere a chime is ringing And the sun erased the sky V Seven white horses Come to me in dreams I don’t know what they're wanting I know not what it means To see seven white horses Appearing in my dreams

Through these eyes I cannot see A time this world will set me free And so I long just for the day The moment when I float away Float away, float away The moment when I float away Bring my day, bring my day The day when I will float away, hey The screens they say will burn my eyes The words I hear will tell me lies Impatiently I await the day The day when I will float away Float away, float away The day when I will float away Bring the day, bring the day The moment when I float away, hey The Good Book says the time is near You can see the signs all over here So I close my eyes and let it be And soon I'll be walking in Glory Float away, float away The moment when I float away Bring the day, bring the day The day when I will float away Float away, float away The moment when I float away Here to say I'm not gonna stay The moment when I float away, hey Awoke this morning what did I see The sun has risen and it shines on me Impatiently I still await the day The moment that I float away

Your bravest face A clever imitation Of a man who’s got Nothing to hide The motions of grace Forgiveness that you needed So hard to just Swallow your pride But there’s no way forward Without going back And facing the fire where it sparked If you’re waiting for payback For all that you lost I can’t promise there’s no pain thorns and deep scars from wayback The rivers you crossed It’s not a memory It’s just a remedy for the rain You’ve held on so long somehow been killing you oh, but don’t you get tired of the pain? Sing your torch song Waiting for the moonlight Seems like it leaves you so drained But there’s no way forward Without going back And facing the fire where it sparked If you’re waiting for payback For all that you lost I can’t promise there’s no pain thorns and deep scars from wayback The rivers you crossed It’s not a memory It’s just a remedy for the rain

I've see that old Blue Mosque and the Temple on the Mount I went to Katmandu to see what it was all about I've seen the Sistine Chapel, heard the choir in ole Salt Lake But it ain't really church, if you ain't got a snake No It ain't really church now, if you ain't got a snake Reach down and grab a serpent, boy, if you got the faith Drink a shot of poison, don't you worry about your fate No It ain't really church, now, if you ain't got a snake In the Holy Bible in the Gospel of St Mark When they rolled away the stone and Jesus walked out of the dark He said to his disciples go forth and spread my word Out unto the wilderness to those whove never heard Signs will follow my believers, Demons cast out by their touch They will lay their hands upon the sick and those folks will jump right up Poison will not harm them, some will speak in tongues and they shall take up serpents the elders and the young No It ain't really church, if you ain't got a snake Reach down and grab a serpent, if you got the faith Drink a shot of poison, death be not your your fate No It ain't really church, if you ain't got a snake There's Notre Dame Cathedral you know it is quite grand and don't forget the Alamo out there in the sand and Gaudi's Holy Family in Barcelona Spain But it ain't really Church, if you aint got a snake No It ain't really church, if you ain't got a snake Reach down and grab a serpent, if you got the faith Drink a shot of poison, don't worry about your fate No It ain't really church, if you ain't got a snake

Quiet Is The Storm Xmas eve heading to the Midnight mass Whiskey in my flask face frozen like a mask All alone stumble down the avenue Standing in the silent snow Standing in the silent snow Quiet is the storm Xmas eve heading to the candy store Pick up the evening news what am I looking for Cars skidding out underneath the xmas lights No one else in sight No one else in sight Quiet is the storm

I believe in a higher power A presence in the dark before the dawn A song of joy heard in the suffering I believe in uncertain waiting Where doubt and faith come together and link arms The two as one This is the journey that I'm on I've just begun All we've ever known A drop of water in A deep and massive sea All above, below All I hope to be This I believe I believe that beliefs should take us Beyond a safe place out into the world And into our vulnerability I believe love will always win No matter who you are or who you love Such a wide embrace Stand with those living on the edge We raise their voice All we've ever known The colors bleed to one A million rising suns Darkness turns to day Light for all to see This I believe I believe we have more in common Than what might tear us apart And when we think we’ve found it all Still looking for All we've ever known A drop of water in A deep and massive sea All above, below All we hope to be This I believe

Fire Bringer In the time before humans had fire One winter brought a freeze Coyote heard the mothers wailing At their children’s agony Coyote knew where the fire giants Closely guarded flame So he crept up to their mountain lair To bring some to the plains He stole an ember in his jaws And flew away in haste And the giants all let out a roarAs they quickly joined the chase Coyote be brave To bring us fire at last To escape from the giants Coyote you’d best be fast Can you do it by yourself Or meet a fiery end Coyote run until you’re done And then count on your friends Cougar saw coyote’s plight And raced into the fray She grabbed the ember from coyote And carried it away The fire giants gave pursuit But were fading as they went Then little squirrel up in a tree Became the next agent Coyote be brave To bring to us this gift To escape from the giants coyote you’d best be swift Can you do it by yourself Or meet a fiery end Coyote run until you’re done And then count on your friends And all the friends of coyote Helped fire be delivered And the fire giants disappeared Into a raging blizzard With the power of the flame Humans now had might And they vowed to honor all beasts Who helped them in their plight

Hail Mary It’s raining today Pouring misfortune So now I pray Hail Mary I’m hopeful inside Confessed all my sins And swallowed my pride Hail Mary Say, what have I done Oh sweet Mary I know I should run I’ve given all I have I’m still upright somehow Hail Mary Full of God’s grace Would I still know you From just your face Hail Mary I’m saying goodbye Pale rider’s comin’ I think I know why Hail Mary Say, what have I done Oh sweet Mary I know I should run I’ve given all I have I’m still upright somehow

When the high times have left you ragged and wrong. When your only salvation is an old country song. When friends leave you lonely and living is grim, then sing to the moonlight a solemn old hymn. Make a church in the alley, a church in your car. Give a testimony at a dingy dive bar. There's no need to worry about how good you are, because singing just feels good and livin' is hard. When nothing comes easy and you're feelin' real ruff, cry out little darlin' that's powerful stuff. When love becomes bitter and there's nowhere to turn, shout like a critter, it's ok to mourn. Make a church in the alley, a church in your car. Giver your testimony at a dingy dive bar. There's no need to worry about how good you are, because singing just feels good and livin' is hard. When money is bone dry, you ain't got a thing break into chorus with your own primal scream. When the year have all gone by, you're tired and weak whisper a sweet verse that will put you to sleep. Make a church in the alley, a church in your car. Giver your testimony at a dingy dive bar. There's no need to worry about how good you are, because singing just feels good and livin' is hard. Singing just feels good and livin' is hard.

Sanctified Ya gotta get sanctified Angels talkin to you Devils talkin to you Can you tell them apart Everybody’s got something To see you but all you need Is in your heart On the winding road Running hot and cold And you’re feeling low Under your heavy load Then you know Ya gotta get santicfied Sanctified You gotta get sanctified Aren’t you feeling like it’s Time to set aside your Grievance and face the light Come on over to the table Won’t you, let love in and Make it right It’s a winding road Running hot and cold Walking on hot coals Takin heavy blows Cause you know Ya gotta get santicfied Sanctified You gotta get sanctified

The River 03:22
The river has cleansed me of my sins The river has cleansed me of my sins I said Lord won’t you let me Out if I let you in The road I walked was blinding bright The road I walked was blinding bright I was blind right up Until day turned to night The shooting star I oft beheld The shooting star I oft beheld Came crashing down so Fast I had to blame myself Don’t nobody know this fertile bliss Don’t nobody know this weariness Don’t nobody know where the high road Meets the great abyss The river has cleansed me of my sins The river has cleansed me of my sins I said Lord won’t you let me Out if I let you in
