On the corner of Cohen and Scott
Don on my jacket and hail a cab
Stop light at a fountain and imagine the water running through my hands just like sand blowing in the wind
When I close my eyes it’s like the pines are more than just a review swinging hints of another time
green lights emerge and wheels turn
Reflections come and go
while I’m on my way back home
Traffic jam near the cemetery gates
I hope that all who have gone on are grateful
To have ever felt alive
I am one in pursuit, bellyful of low-hanging-fruit, daydream destinations in mind
When I close my eyes it’s like the times we spent were more than just an accident
Tow truck’s gone so it’s moving along
Reflections come and go
While I’m on my way back home
I started writing lyrics on my way home from rehearsal around 12:30AM. It's been another crazy-busy week. I started referencing artists that influence me which turned into songs that influence me before becoming something else, entirely. I still think there's something to come back to eventually, so I'll take it.
