EMcB - Three 04:38
Oh when I was young, I had two dear friends Through fire and through flames yeah we all became men It was a life, it was a party, it was every day But in the later years, well we went our separate ways We were the three great amigos Caught in the rain Sailing our ships through the joy and the pain Now that two are long gone why am I the one who remains Well J was the wild one, the life of the crowd He lived on the edge and he lived so aloud But in his soul there was a struggle, the opposite of thrills J left this world beside a bottle of pills We were the three great amigos Caught in the rain Sailing our ships through the joy and the pain Now that two are long gone why am I the one who remains Now Fish was the funny one, he had a smile and a half When together in a room, man, we couldn't help but laugh But he bottled his emotion, it wasn't all fun Well Fish left this world by the barrel of a gun We were the three great amigos Caught in the rain Sailing our ships through the joy and the pain Now that two are long gone why am I the one who remains Oh was it all fate Was it all choices In the mirror I stare I can hear their voices Small circles of life Feelings in excess Oh will I stand in light Or will I fall in darkness

Heredity I see myself in you And it may not be the way that others do But everything that you love I love too Like mommy, and puppy, and your favorite yellow bunny That kind of smells, but no-one cares to launder Like the sun and the breeze blowing through the trees And an open field for little feet to wander It may be in our genes But when you make a choice it always seems Like I can guess which way you’ll tend to lean I see myself in you And it may not be the way that others do But everything that you love I love too Like apples and napping, like music and like clapping And being brave in the face of danger Like swimming and snacking, peek-a-boo and laughing Passing time waving at strangers I see myself in you And it may not be the way that others do But everything that you love, I love too Everything seems clearer when you’ve got your little mirror To remind you how important The little things can be It may be in our genes But when you make a choice it always seems Like I can guess which way you’ll tend to lean I see myself in you And it may not be the way that others do But everything that you love I love too Everything that you love I love too But not half as much as I love you

She looked in the mirror, didn't like what she saw, she almost cried. Someone told her maybe you just need to see it from the other side. It seemed like a strange request , but what the heck? So she tried, she's not come back even yet. The other side. He was never confident enough to stay. Always assumed that no one saw him anyway. When he tried the other side he had to smile. He's still there and has been now for quite a while. The other side. The other side is seldom seen, but always dreamed. Chances won, so often no one dared redeem. There but by the grace of God we all would go. Give a nod to all the ones you used to know. The other side. They were always different, and they knew they were. But they found the other side, and it changed their world. It's not easy seeing from the other side. But they found it worth it, and they're glad they tried, The other side.

Don’t want to go too deep Each day is hard enough Why wonder what it all means When you can chase a buzz? If living has no meaning What point is there to be? Better just to sleepwalk Than to face reality I’d rather be high Than find who I am It’s simple to fly And not give a damn I’d rather not knowWhat good I can be Time for that has passed, now it’s easier to sleep You may have a point But what if you’re wrong? And life is a joy You can ride along? Just take a step Out of your self See how we all live When our spark isn’t quelled In the mirror you’ll spy If you do what you can A new way to try To better understand And the farther you go The more you will see That the love you’ve amassed is all that you need

I look inside My heart of hearts Pray for strength I haven’t got I see my soul All stained in ink The vows I made From which I shrink I spoke those words As soft as snakes Might as well have roared As earth will quake For deeds once done Will surely out Will leave their mark I have no doubt I walk these streets In the suit of a free man Nobody sees I’ll pay no fee, man I can’t escape These secret cages I’ll never spend These stolen wages Stood at the fork Of a road well-traveled Chose passing poor And my life unraveled On the edge of night Where a man gets tested I met my demons Found myself bested I hear the hounds Not yet at bay But still I walk Cold light of day Is the stain less black That no one sees Or does the pain run deeper That’s sole for me? I walk these streets In the suit of a free man Nobody sees I’ll pay no fee, man I can’t escape These secret cages I’ll never spend These stolen wages

I know it's got you going, my Contemptative Baby I wish that I could help you, 'cause you've been a friend to me But I ain't don't have an answer to a knot-tied baggie Don't take a "Mirror, Mirror" for any friend too see Nose down ain't a flattering relection Nose down is how Peter pays Paul Nose down is'a forced introspection Nose down ain't no good way to fall Thinking about your Sister, and the way she drove to help you Think about your Boyfriend, and the way he drove you crazy Think about your Mama, how she drove you to the city Think about your Daddy, and how long he's been gone Nose down ain't a flattering relection Nose down is how Peter pays Paul Nose down if forced introspection Nose down ain't no good way to fall Nose down ain't an accurate reflection Nose down- how Saul flipped the script to Paul Nose down is a forced perspective Nose down ain't no way...

reflection in the crystal terminal self we shall depart reflection in the crystal terminal self a cross on the table, a blueish tear not but an unrequited love gone with the wind to forever meander the shadow fades a cross on the table, a blueish tear in the end, the shadow fades to forever diverge This will be the last you hear from me, to forever silence you once promised me until the end of time in the end, darkness descends in the end, the shadow fades Only a memory.

I’ve been meaning to get this down on track I’ve been wondering what to say I’ve been taking my time to make my move Cause there’s always another day Had a whole lot of things on tap last week But a bit of a one track mind And you’ll see what my brain refused to leave And what other things fell behind And I don’t know why And I don’t know why Well I love when I get the fire lit I’ll dive into the rabbit hole But there’s something that I’ve been working on That is taking a bigger hold All the time that it takes to save my pride’s Getting harder to justify But I’m banging the keys at 2am Writing something to stay alive

about

This week's song must be about "reflection", whatever that means to you or however you want to spin it. Also, either include the word "mirror" or "reflection" in the lyrics.
