I liked the all around sound of the track from round 11 - Just move on, but the whole "write a song to yourself from when your in school" theme didn't really do it for me, and I didn't feel I liked the lyrics I wrote that much. I tried to re work lyrics, and change the whole delivery on this one. Still not totally loving it, but its a start.
lyrics
Basement tapes sound in my head
changing speeds and forward to the end
Basement tapes reminded again
That I once let you slip right under my skin
and if it turns the engine off
and if it picks up the pace
Just bury it bury it again
Basement tapes
Made to stay gathering dust
Distance strains things
from the mains of elegance lost
Come what may just more to say
Leave a light on for me
I'll be coming home again one day
and If it wants she'll carry it
If it learns to go
Just bury it,Just bury it again
Basement tapes
Hey I'm 3 sheets to the wind
How far down til I fuck up everything?
Basement tapes sound in my head
