Title came from my man Carter and I told him I'd work on a song for the week. Summer honestly seems worse than rest of year in terms of having time for these tunes, so they've been so damn rushed. Anyway, song didn't come out exactly like I hoped but I had a fun hour doing some one-take tracking on the music. I wanted this to be a big arena rocker - not quite sure we got there! (use your imagination please)
lyrics
something to say
for living how you wanna, trying make a dollar two
I’d rather not play, I make my own rules, my own way
treading on dreams
sitting in the window, tickets for the sidehow
I’m making a move, it’s time to say
heads are spinning, are we winning?
raise your hands up high
we hit the big time big plans
had it coming, flying round like superman
never wanted to be the last in line
now we’re in the big time
like anything else
you work so hard to get it, have it and you let it go
I'm not gonna waste this chance I hope
