I tried to use the prompt, which I liked, but it produced three dead ends. I rolled the dice a couple more times for good measure and still didn't see a way toward a song. So I decided to take the probation and write a little punk song about this girl with a blue mullet, a song I've been thinking of writing for a couple weeks. I was listening to a podcast about mullets and a girl said that wearing her mullet made her feel powerful. I thought I could get a song out of that.
lyrics
she wore a blue mullet
cause it made her feel powerful
and the pain...?
she didn't wanna dull it
cause she thought of it as rocket fuel
and the mane...?
it said something bout her spirit
it made certain people fear it
and let other people know that she was cool
selling out was still a thing
show them who you wanna be (wanna be, wanna be)
get it tattooed on your sleeve
just don't be a wanna be (wanna be, wanna be)
fashion is nothing
and fashion is everything
grab that ring
make that scene
let them see
that really
you just can't be bothered
she wore a blue mullet
cause it made her feel powerful
and the pain...?
she didn't wanna dull it
cause she thought of it as rocket fuel
and the mane...?
it said something bout her spirit
it made certain people fear it
and let other people know that she was cool
