Not surprisingly for me, this week, there's a little Black Crowes in this, but I think of it as a Zep III-ish song. Definitely a last-minute thing, and the lyrics are fairly crappy, though the sentiment/vibe was in place. Undoubtedly, a pursuit-of-the-muse kind of thing.
lyrics
Where do you think you’re going
in the dusk’s grey dawn
I followed your footfalls knowing
already lost and gone
the heady scent of promise
your lavender and rasp
oh, my sorrow
just beyond my weary grasp
If somebody told me this road
gonna take my all
I surely would lose that dead load
that broke my fall
a caught a fleeting shadow
the hem of her dress
as the light grows golden
just chasing down her faithlessness
blessed my fears
in the sacred stream
Closest star
coldest dream
your poet’s curse
come to me
where’d you go
Calliope?
