This is obviously just a rough demo of the beginning of a song, though I think it has some potential. I had very little time this week, then when I finally got around to it I had the problem of my prompt. All the active words in the prompt - great, unique, melody - were roadblocks to my creativity. So I started something that has nothing to do with the terrible prompt. Sorry Doug, lesson learned.

The whole scene was a deep fake
We didn’t want to risk heartbreak
Our ideas were all half baked
And the exposure was too bright
But the posture felt alright
Til we woke up in the half light
Half lit and weary

The whole thing was pure DIY
It was asphalt contrast with gray sky
You could never let em see you try
The confines were so tight
It was hard to get it right
Til we could finally take flight
To somewhere warmer

Then peace came down like a heavy rain
And soaked me to the bone
The geese glided through the sky again
And I felt solid as a mill stone
