1. Good to be back in the fold. Creative work is fun. Thank you Doug and MM3AM community.
2. I am ready to walk back most of my stated album ambitions. Making music has to be a reaction to one thing and the next for me, endless trial and error and exploration. I'll keep in mind that this batch of songs is supposed to cohere as an album.
3. This week I learned a lot. This song, humble and flawed though it certainly is, was a lot of work to put together. Feels more like a positioning of something ahead than a song in its own right but I definitely had a process breakthrough here I'm excited about.
4. I bit off more than I could chew here. I think that is in my DNA. Maybe, fingers crossed, my next song with stay in 4/4 the whole time, or at least for a few measures at a stretch.
