Desert wolf stalks through the dry brush
Looking for life well there ain’t much
Feeling that hunger, but just a touch
Needs a snack but she’s in no rush

You hear that noise up around the bend?
Better pay it heed or you’ll soon be dead
If you’re calm, though, you can make a friend
With the sidewinder lazing in a riverbed

Land is dirt cheap, if you want to build
Maybe put house up on that hill
You can make a home in the desert plain
Just remember there’s space, but there ain’t no rain

Who you gonna call when you need a drink?
You get so thirsty that you can’t think
Desert heat can push you to the brink
No barman to help you they’re all extinct
