Well, this one certainly didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped, but I didn't have a lot of time to work on it this week. Perhaps I'd have been better served to spend my time writing, rather than producing another full-band track. Ah, well. My first instinct was to avoid the obvious and write something distinctly un-"Beatlesque," but of course, I was drawing here from some of the same old-school R&B and Muscle Shoals inspirations that the Fab Four started with and came back around to on Let It Be, so, well, there's that.
lyrics
Like I can't find my way around my own house, anymore
Til you come home to me
Til you come home to me
Have you ever been lonely
Have you become what you fear
How did you ever become so insincere?
And if I'm honest with myself
Losing you sets me free
Sometimes i wonder what took so long to see
Like I can't find my way around my own house, anymore
Til you come home to me
Til you come home to me
Where you going, sweet darling?
Just what you hoping to find?
It's killing me wondering why you run so blind
I lose my mind every morning
It all starts over again
I reach for you and remember where you've been
Like I can't find my way around my own house, anymore
Til you come home to me
Til you come home to me
