I liked the little progression thing I played at the end of last week's song so I decided to make a song out of if.
This is the first song that deviates from the established lyric style I've been working in this round and it's the first with something resembling a traditional chorus. After a brief exchange with MM3AM alum Susan Terry, I also challenged myself to reuse words in a manner that I found acceptable (I have no problem breaking my own rules – if it works!).
This week's optional "sing-along" challenge is addressed in the second verse.

It’s a tangled up, torturous funeral song
a cliche at this point and I probably won’t do it again
