The song probably won't make anyone laugh, but the story of the song is somewhat entertaining:
My child is fascinated with all things guitar. He calls it a "Gar." When he wakes up, he shouts, "Gar!" – unless he's pooped, in which case he shouts, "Butt Out!" He digs it and this is not really of my doing beyond just having them around all over our house and so on.
But now we're moving and there no gars around the house. My toddler doesn't toddle much, but a toddler will toddle and so he too, on occasion, does toddle. He toddled his butt out over the disappearance of the gar. If you follow my wife on the various social medias, you may know how this story ends. It ends with the piece of crap in the photo.
The emergency gar was purchased from the toy store up the street. It's very much a non-instrument children's toy. I can't stop playing it. It's a total piece of over-priced garbage. I dig the gar. The gar is truly awful. I really dig the gar. It is beyond impossible to tune. I really, really dig the gar.
Anyway, all my guitars and mics and interface and cables and all and everything else is packed away. The gar is the only instrument I currently have access to and I recorded it in Logic using the computer's internal microphone. I spent about thirty minutes ad-libing six (somewhat similar) songs, then I picked this one (the sixth one) to post for no other reason than it was the shortest and least rambling one. The best one (I think) is first one I recorded, "gar I." It sounds the best too, but it's almost five and a half minutes long and it's not very concise. If someone out there is crazy for this sort of low-fi, out of tune ramblings, let me know and I'll post more "gar" for you.
