All week, I've had the first stanza and chorus to this song in my head. I decided to work on finishing it instead of pursuing one of the "The Ghost of Last Summer" options that came to me, lyrically. As for my understanding of the rules, on the recording, I added that lyric in and one riff I associated with it. It will be something obviously altogether different. Maybe I will combine some of those ideas along with another week's phrase.
"Bass Line" itself can use some tweaking, but I'm testing out some new ways of writing - at least to me.
lyrics
“Bass Line”
I will be your base line
Put your hand on my chest and you can feel my
Heart beating like a drum in a second line
Monitor beeps on repeat keeping time
I will be your bass line
Loosen you up like a bottle of wine
Laying it down all the way to cloud 9
Can you feel it? Can you feel it?
All of these notes that make up your song
Come together make me want to sing along
I don't care if it's right or if it's wrong
I just want to lay it down
When new melodies unfold
Dynamic ups and decrescendos
Always going with the flow
anywhere you that you may go
All of these notes that make up your song
Come together make me want to sing along
I don't care if it's right or if it's wrong
I just want to lay it down
Like a bow across the string
Slick, smooth waves vibrating
Head to toe make you gleam
Anything you need. Anything you need.
All of these notes that make up your song
Come together make me want to sing along
I don't care if it's right or wrong
All of these notes that make up your song
Come together make me want to sing along
I don't care if it's right or if it's wrong
I just want to lay it down
I just want to lay it down
