It is good to be back to trying to see what can happen in the wee hours of Monday morning. I worked on a different set of words/ideas for a couple of hours and decided to try something completely different. This is what came out.
lyrics
Best Believing
Can’t believe the spit rolling off of tongues these days
Surely your momma didn’t raise you that way
If she did, well bless her heart and bless yours, too
Even non-believers should ask, “What would Jesus do?”
I’ve got a feeling that things are going to get better
So hold on love
It’s best believing there’s change in the weather
So hold on love
Whatever happened to quiet, calm discussion?
Where fallacies were refereed like players with concussions?
And different sides could find a place to be together?
Respect and manners were not transgressors
I’ve got a feeling that things are going to get better
So hold on love
It’s best believing there’s change in the weather
So hold on love
