I've had a couple of lines of this song in my mind for a few years. I decided the last song for this round to try and finish it, even though I know it kicks me out of the round. Next week is a new round, though!
Even as I tried to finish this one, I've had three or so other ideas this week. I almost went with all of them at some point.
Off and on, I've heard a tiny bit of this song without being able to finish it. That same tire-spinning feeling is occurring now, as far as I can tell. I will likely revisit this one again at some point.
lyrics
“Chasing A Rainbow”
I've never felt so alive and free
As when you were in my vicinity
You took away all the despair
And I would just sit and stare
Your love is like chasing a rainbow
Beautifully profound
your love is like chasing a rainbow
Gone without a sound
And I just want to fly away with you
It used to rain almost every week
come out of the clouds to give me a peak
the weather turned cold and began to change
the unarmed truth shot at close range
Your love is like chasing a rainbow
Beautifully profound
your love is like chasing a rainbow
Gone without a sound
And I just want to fly away with you
I'll be waiting for the next storm
If it ever rains again
But I won't wish for thunder, lightening
and lonely winds
Your love is like chasing a rainbow
I hope you'll come back down
your love is like chasing a rainbow
I hope you'll come around
Cause I just want to fly away with you
I just want to fly away with you
I just want to fly away with you
I just want to fly away with you
