It's been a while since I wrote a song, so it feels good to try to make one. I finally have faster internet in the country. Watching the song upload in seconds was a great thrill over the sometimes 90 minutes in the past.
I have been crazy busy, but glad to write a quick "place holder" to see if I can squeeze a bit more time in the coming weeks. This is rough, but at least has a few good ideas in there.
Apologies to the piano players. I tune them, but am otherwise pretty green as a player. Good to be back for as long as I can hang.
lyrics
“Didn’t Prepare”
Listen up
There’s nothing left in this cup
It’s gotten cold and empty
Like my hollow soul
Growing old
Same complaint, nothing fresh, bold
I’ve gotten cold and empty
Nothing else to say
Look in the mirror
What a sorry excuse for plans made
Go back to bed
Sleep to silence my head
