This week was incredibly busy, though it seems like that's the story every week. This week included a few surprise time-consuming issues. I finally sat down at 8:30pm on Sunday night with a sinus infection and made this happen.
I figured out pretty late in the game that it was my turn to make an assignment for the week, though I should have just used some deductive reasoning and came up with my own conclusion.
For me, writing positive songs can be the toughest to manufacture - especially avoiding cheese. However, I thought it might be a good thing on the world to muster positive energy into songs by several songwriters at once.
This is certainly no "We Are the World," or really even a good song, but for me I'm still happy to stay in the game, try to learn and keep trying to make it happen.
lyrics
Make It Happen
Riot in the streets
How hard is for people
To get together for some good?
I know we should
Call me idealistic
Say I'm living In a dream world
But I've got good feeling
The plan's about to unfurl
Just a little positivity
Can break through
All the clouds and hazy
Complicated states we put ourselves into
I can feel something good in the air
Oh come on make it happen
Oh we're gonna make it happen
I can feel something good in the air
Oh come on make it happen
Oh we're gonna make it happen
Fires burn deep
You know the scars played for keeps
Cause they make you stay awake at night
Everybody's got 'em
They're all different shapes and sizes
Do what you've got to do and
limit access to the surface
Just a little positivity
Can break through
All the clouds and hazy
Complicated states we put ourselves into
I can feel something good in the air
Oh come on make it happen
Oh we're gonna make it happen
