I decided to play around with some pedals and write from a music first standpoint in order to create some dissonance. It's all last minute as usual, but I had fun and think there are some decent elements in there.
lyrics
From the first time you touched my lips
I couldn’t wait for another fix
You’re like a hypnotist
And I’m just a fish on the line
Come on give me another round
can’t stand when you’re not around
Got me feeling down
Till you pick me back up again
What’s the matter with me, baby?
You know you’re driving me crazy
Thinking about you every day and night
Being wrong never felt so right
When it’s this good you know it’s understood
Ready to roll the dice with my life
Like a dog tethered to a leash
Got me begging for another treat
I’ll be discreet
Just give me what I need
You’re the habit and I’m the addict
I’ll be the toy in your attic
Just bring me down
Whenever you feel the need
What’s the matter with me lately?
It’s like I’m here but it’s hazy
Eyes wide open in the dark and light
Can’t clear my head of what’s out of sight
And if I bring it from the rear view
Will I ever feel the brand new?
Tired old eyes wave good night
