Rush job again. Ended up sick with what was presumably the flu this week. Tested negative for Covid.
Although a bit vague, I think this song is loosely inspired by what is happening to Ukraine. In my youth, I just assumed and hoped that humanity would intellectually and ethically evolve into enlightenment that did not include this kind of atrocity.
lyrics
The bombs are falling
the pain rings my ear
Just the doorbell, just the doorbell
To everything below
Thought we were past this
nature never dies
Cold show of hearts, cold show of hearts
Smashing little toe
Just a reminder
Keep on keeping on
Nothin matters nothin matters
Break apart a home
