The verse riff and chorus melody came to me earlier this week. Earlier this morning, I carved out a couple of hours to experiment and "finish" the rest of it. I think I would like it better with some more time, obviously, but had fun experimenting regardless.
lyrics
Everything seems perfect
The wait has finally disappeared
Regret and remorse I'll reject
The sun is shining, skies are cleared
In the distance are distorted faces
Changing in and out of view
Raging and parading so Complacent
their incessant abuse
Here I am
In the eye of the storm
Here I am
Nice and calm like before
Here I am
Surrounded by the debris
Here I am
Come on and save me
Walls creaking standing their ground
Where do I begin?
Doors jarred in the series of sounds
When the roof caved in
Thunder echoes as the wall approaches
The howling of the wind
Louder as lightening encroaches
Here we go again
Here I am
In the eye of the storm
Here I am
Not so calm like before
Here I am
Deafening my pleas
Here I am
No one can save me
