Another crazy week. Glad to get a little more writing exercise in again. I feel like there are a few good ideas in this wee-hours-of-Monday-morning songwriting attempt. I think there are only a couple of more super-hectic weeks ahead, now. Lol.
lyrics
Blank like the pages in front of me
Blue lines blurry in static stare
I wish the ink would form the words
Pouring out of an empty prayer
The sun is just a ball of fire
burning in the sky
You are just a memory
Haunting till I die
Bleak like hope tattooed dreams
Strings like fences keeping me in
Chained to the same old routine
Whiskey to coffee and back again
The sea is just a fountain
waiting on a siege
My arms will never hold
the earth that covers me
