I hope y'all have as much fun listening to this as I did making it. I ran out of time or I'd have put more polish on the lyric (and written more for the second verse and...uh...post...chorus thing. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but it's self-indulgent, spastic, and focused on big orchestrations and...as good a vocalism as I could muster.
Couldn't resist that last bit.
lyrics
She said,
I’m never going back to
That place
Haven’t got a mind to
Disgrace
All the little things I’ve found along the way
Don’t you go back (oh no, baby)
Don’t you go back (it’s too late)
It’s too late for sad goodbyes
It’s too late just line your eyes
You are beautiful it comes as no surprise
Just stay in line
Live your life at your own pace
Don’t you fret it ain’t a race
Leather boots and a shirt of ragged lace
Listen what I say
Small town living drove you out of your mind
Put em in the mirror yeah you left em behind
Big city lights yeah we gonna get paid
Cocaine limousines she got it made
Gonna be the biggest star the world ever seen
You might have been born a prince don't mean that you can't be a queen
