I guess it was my stab at a hard luck/hard life story about an out of work actress ...The 1st line "She could have been the Louisiana dreamgirl...." just kind of rolled out of me and i took it from there at first singing the words her celluloid life but i thought Ray Davies is the rightful owner of that word so i changed it storybook life..i need to write a last verse ..but i ran out of time so i repeated the 1st verse..i hope it was enough of a narrative.
