From W to BO to #45 - my view of presidents through they eyes of a dad. The highlight, waking up a less than 1 year old in Harlem to celebrating the first African American pres, after 8 years of Bush, only to see that fall apart with the election of the WORST president in our countries' history - and having to explain to our kids their friends w/ dark skin weren't going to other schools and that we must move forward with positivity and LOV . So where do we go from here? UP!
lyrics
Still brand new and getting used to it
Such a special little man
Have a stronger sense of purpose
Scratching deeper than the surface
Love amazement wonder pride
Walls were breaking down in Harlem
Across the world we celebrate
After Eight long years of suffering new world just beginning
He was right there by our side
It's a moment worth the waking
History in the Making
We will fight (not give in)
We will love (we will win)
And the world is gonna be alright
We will march (we are strong)
We will all get along
Come what might
This is ours for the taking
History in the making
Heard him speaking finally yesterday
For the first time since the change
Saw The difference never greater
From a dreamer to a hater
No more of this mixed-up strange
Special man is now part of a team
They will make their voices heard
Build an Army made of positive
Forward never backward
Future closer than it seems!
It's a moment worth the taking
History in the Making
We will fight (not give in)
We will love (we will win)
And the world is gonna be alright
We will march (we are strong)
We will all get along
Come what might
This is ours for the taking
History in the making
