Checked out some of the other tunes this week, great Irish production. I didn't really have time (or skills to do this week) so my offering is a one taker on my voice recorder - tried to channel the vocals of one of my fav Irish singers, the Dark Prince of Pop. wish I could have done w/ his great sense of humor!
lyrics
Please don't feel sorry for me
I like to drink alone
My lady done left me, so what
It's the third time this week, and I'm down on my luck
But I'm not feeling bitter
I'm not losing sleep
I just sit on this barstool and keep em coming uh uh
Hard being miser-able,
So I keep it all happy, no matter what
I'm not gonna fight you
I won't even shout
Just sit on this barstool without any doubt about love
Stick to my story nowhere to be
Not gonna let it catch up to me
Drink to my sorrow won't answer the phone...
Ch
My jobs getting worse all the time
Wages been cut, I don't have a dime
But I'm not feeling sorry
Not cursin the man
I don't give a damn about working, uh huh
My landlord just gave me the boot
Late by 6 mths, with no kind of loot
So I'm out on the street not a thing left to do
At least they keep bringing me rounds
God bless you!
Stick to my story nowhere to be
Not gonna let it catch up to me
Bills and the pills can't get blood
From a stone...
