I’m a sucker for one of these piano, vocalist blues thingy’s. I probably ripped myself off (and others too) with these melodies…but they are true to what comes out of my head. Doing a song like this feels very vulnerable. I can't tell if it's super common and cheesy or if it's a homerun or a nice try. Oh well...I like it.
lyrics
Is It Cold Inside
As I stand here in the weather
And the wind chill is 30 below
Well it seems like an island heat wave
Compared to your love
When I think about the passion
That we just can’t seem to find
Can I come back and warm myself by your fire
Or is it still cold inside
As my fingers and toes lose their feeling
And my blood begins to freeze
And I feel like I’m slowly dying
And I’m falling to my knees
Do you still have that attraction
Or am I the last thing on your mind
Do you still have flame in your fire
Or is it cold inside
Are you seeing my footprints in the snow
As I’m waiting here in the cold, dark woods
And though my eyes are nearly closed
I wish I could see the glow in your window
Is your love for me really something you need
Or is it a chore that you’d rather hide
Can I warm myself by your fire
Or is it cold inside
Is it cold inside
Is it still cold inside
