For this one, what I liked about last week was the chorus which felt very positive. I reworked all the lyrics and arrangement to reduce the "dark" and focus on that. All lyrics rewritten and simplified. Most was done on trains and airplanes in Italy and by the time I got back home with a few minutes to actually record, it didn't come out like in my head. But... I think this version is much more of what I wanted and hopefully with some revisions might see the light of day in one form or another.
lyrics
Far away from what I'm used to
Feeling like the time is right
Find my little slice of heaven
Italian countryside
On a roll if we try
Let's all go leave tonight
We can sleep on the plane
Wake up to sunlight
Hold somebody love somebody
Never let go
Hold somebody love somebody
Don't let go, don't let go
Feel a little sentimental
First time in my life
Thankful for all I have
Italian countryside
Lotta love to go round
Keep my feet on the ground
Long ride home it's alright
Come back to the city lights
