Halfway wrote three songs this week. Hated them all again. I had to break out the acoustic and write a murder ballad. I guess I was due.
lyrics
Say you love me but there ain’t nowhere to go to
Pulled a pistol lets take a ride and kill a few
Keep it quiet and wear a smile though it ain’t true
Don’t you worry it won’t be too long til they take you
My hands are tied
It’s a simple life
Loving you in the moment bent and broken
Hoping that you’ll say you love me
Lost and carefree through the debris of the coming tide
How you liking these digs it’s got such a great view
Quit your whining I’m only trying to love you
My hands are tied
It’s a simple life
Loving you in the moment bent and broken
Hoping that you’ll say you love me
Lost and carefree through the debris of the coming tide
Now it’s over and I wonder how I’ll pull through
Just a lover in a shallow grave what a breakthrough
