I have had a sparkly blue vintage Slingerland drum set in my room for the last 8 years, just stacked in a pretty tower. I set them up last weekend. Played them every day. Had an awesome time. Felt like a reunion.
lyrics
Shake Down - Jason LeVasseur
the dust flew when the stick hit
the drums sang when I played it
you been been stacked and I'm getting rusty - way too long
Was I thinking about you?
A blue glow in the bedroom.
I saw you and ignored you - all alone
Shake down - they’ll see
why did I wait so long to bring you back to me?
they’ll see
why did it take so long to have you here with me?
the costumes and the stages
the lost groom and the white dress
you’re in tune and I’m getting in tune with you
all the pieces not broken
and your name left unspoken
but I picked up your pieces and made it right
shake down - they’ll see
why did I wait so long to bring you back to me?
they’ll see
why did it take so long to to bring you back to me?
Are you ready to drive the band ?
are you ready to sleep in the back of a van ?
are you ready to play to this room ?
Well, I am if you are too.
shake down...
