A couple of my favorite bands (The Who come to mind) would finish side 1 with something huge, then start side 2 with something small that built into something boisterous. I was trying to get there, but never quite made it to the boisterous part. And Keith Moon wasn't returning my calls.
lyrics
v1:
It's been quite a couple days, all good, but just too much
Frankly I believe that I might be losing touch
With the things that give me peace, the things that bring me rest
I'm finding no release and I think it might be best
If I take a seat, take the bench, take my time instead
v2:
They say, "don't do it all," but God forbid, we're gonna try
We fall down in a heap and we're left to question why
We're running out of gas and the wind has left our sails
Pick a metaphor that lasts, but you're running off the rails
So take a seat, take the bench
Your health, it ain't for sale
br:
It's OK to work your ass off
It's alright to sweat and groan
Don't worry, you won't get soft
Just taking time on your own
v3:
It's been quite a couple days, all good, but just too much
So I'll take a seat, take the bench, and I'll ask that you don't judge
Take a seat, take the bench, and that should be enough
