I wanted to do a duo with non-gender-specific names, so that it was just the story of two people in love that didn't care. They could be a man and a woman, two men or two women, and much like love, it would;t matter.
I think there needs to be more of a story to it in its final form. I think the characters are fine, but they don;t really do anything.
lyrics
Billie and Sandi were always handy
and good for a laugh and a drink
They were never quite normal
and always informal,
give you a smile and a wink.
And you would have thought
if they'd ever been caught
they'd be strung up in a blink.
But Sndi and Billie thought it was silly
to care what people think.
Whoa
Whoa
Yeah Sandi and Billie were sorta (not really)
a typical couple you'd find
A couple of sports who were never the sort
to pay anyone else mind
And when they were out
you could hear them shout
Don't you know love is blind
Yeah Billie and Sandi thought it was just dandy
to do what they were inclined
Whoa
Whoa
Sandi and Billie were both ideally
suited to their lifestyle
they both were the same
yet totally different
with beauty, wit, and guile
And so, when I meet them
I heartily greet them
and we sit and we drink for a while.
And we're all vociferent
that it's good to be different
never part of the rank and file
