Every day, hate filling my feed
People need to heed
the words of the one that they’re shouting about
I always say ignorance is bliss
I really miss just this
not knowing what they’re thinking about
We are completely divided
two-sided can’t hide it expose
the hate that’s in your heart
We have to get past it
gonna blast it real fast yeah repose
gotta find a place to start
People on both sides of the aisle
better listen up
People on both sides of the tracks
gonna raise up
you gotta remember who you represent
We are the ones that are the 99 percent
But the 99 has to become one to realize
What it’s really all about
And the 1 will see that the 99 has the size
and the power, no doubt
We gotta come together
Before we fall apart
People getting shot, all for no reason
Police acting like it’s open season
I mean no disrespect to just about all
cops who fight for right and uphold the law
You gotta know just where I’m coming from
I never felt the need to carry a gun
I been coast to coast in this nation of ours
played in lots of cities, Played in lots of bars
But I never let an argument lead to violence
I’m man enough to walk away, Fighting don’t make sense
You gotta understand, no need to escalate
A man’s life is worth too much to ever tempt fate
So I’m gonna lay it out, nice and plain
Trying to save a couple of lives, and a world of pain
We gotta find some harmony, gotta get in tune
We gotta come together, and heal all the wounds.
