One of my favorite songs I have written, but it needed something more.
As Doug pointed out in the original week, it fell short lyrically. I feel like I have remedied that, adding another verse that takes you beyond "mountains are beautiful, here they are" to give you a clearer point of the song "this is your escape, if even for a day"
lyrics
The wind is whispering a secret name
A wilderness no one could ever tame
Lose yourself in the trees
Lose yourself as long as you please
The water flows down to the valley
The sunset brings the day's finale
Find yourself far from home
Find yourself all alone
I come from the busy world below
The mountains are calling, and I must go
The blue mist hangs on distant mountaintops
A view for miles seems like it never stops
Lose yourself in the scenery
Find yourself in the greenery
Leave your worries far below you
Mother Nature she will show you
Lose yourself far away
Find yourself for a day
release yourself from all you know
The mountains are calling, and I must go
release yourself from all you know
The mountains are calling, and I must go
