Inspired by Bowie (obviously) and Prince. I was thinking of how Bowie was able to create these fantastic characters and not be cheesy. I look forward to further developing this, to try harder to do the same.
lyrics
He came down from the stars
With golden guitars
and a voice like heaven above
He changed his clothes
And he changed his tune
And showed us all how to love
He showed us every kindness,
That we were undeserving of
He stepped up in the place
Any melted our face
As he played his rock'n roll
The way he played and moved
It made us feel funny
As he sang and bared his soul
He shared with us a magic
That could've made us whole
Falling down and getting up to go
All around your ignorance it shows
And maybe you're all better off
Without the white buffalo
He left us here
With our pain and our fear
Our arrogance and hate
We have all the tools
But our leaders are fools
And it may be too late
Unless we learn to get along
And overcome our fate
Falling down and getting up to go
All around our hate and fear it shows
And maybe you're all better off
Without the white buffalo
Falling down and getting up to go
All around your ignorance it shows
Falling down and getting up to go
All around our hate and fear it shows
How could you think you'd be better off
Without the white buffalo
