I'm feeling a bit silly and quirky this week so here's a silly-quirky tune about young love. It doesn't matter which genre of life you live, you can still have young love. I can't wait to finish this one with full production as I may have some structural changes with a bridge and some filler ideas.
lyrics
Billy loved this girl named Kim
And oh man what she did to him
She had plastic lips and some plastic hips but
That was Billy's thing and was Billy's trip
They used to walk the streets of Hollywood
They never knew that life could be oh so good
And they would stalk all the local celebrities
It doesn't get any better than times like these
They like to go buck wild in the LA lights
Dance to the sounds of the big city nights
Young love
Now Scarlett was a hipster queen
She loved a skinny boy who was named Aberdeen
She liked to run her fingers through his long brown beard
While they laughed at his shirt that read "Keep it Weird"
And they would own the streets of the Lower East Side
While they sipped espresso with Manhattan pride
They like to talk Nick Cave and some poetry as well
And they dreamed of living at the Chelsea hotel
They like to slowly gaze into each others eyes
With their organic chic and some vintage Levi's
Young love
Now Sunny was a granola girl
She fell in love with Dave and all of his curls
They liked to hike the hills of the Appalachian Trail
And they had more adventures than an old tall tale
She'd wear a long stem daisy down through her blonde hair
And she loved her God and she loved her prayer
And now Dave would tell her how she's in his dreams
As they sang and played in the Appalachian streams
They would count the stars on a summery night
In each others arms at the morning light
Young love
