hmmm, ain't been here in a while. not sure I remember how to write a song, especially without loud electric guitars and drums.
So, I just aimed for that feel good yacht rock thing. I can hear how I would slick this up- keyboard line, 12 string acoustic guitar, Doug playing a clean tele rhythm track...but you don't get that here.... nope.
just this very rough demo. :)
lyrics
VERSE
When it all comes down and feels so heavy (oooh ooh ooh)
when it all clouds up and seems so blue
when everything is just a bundle of worry (oooh ooh ooh)
I close my eyes and just think of you
VERSE 2
When I feel all alone and everything is a hurry (oooh ooh ooh)
when the rain comes down without a cloud in view
when everything is just a bundle of worries (oooh ooh ooh)
I close my eyes and just think of you
CHORUS
It Takes me to the open road on a ride into a starry night
just me -holding you so close
alone together and it just feels so right
it carries me up to a place
where the world can just fall aside
yeah just those memories of you
yeah I hold on
with everything I got
yeah I hold on
believe it or not....
CHORUS
It Takes me to the open road on a ride into a starry night
just me -holding you so close
alone together and it just feels so right
it carries me up to a place
where the world can just fall aside
just me -holding you so close
alone together and it just feels so right
yeah just those memories of you
