Yeah...pressed for time this week. My anniversary was this week, both Julie and I had doctor's appointments (getting older sucks), and then Halloween business with the kids...sheesh. All this grown up crap is for the birds. Anyway, I struggled harder than I thought I was going to with this song, got it done in the 11th hour (as most things have been this round). It was supposed to be more subtle, the whole "Leviathan is Dementia" thing, but it's pretty on the nose. Oh well. Made some trippy noises with some synthesizers. Yay. Lyric ain't great, but I think the concept is worth a revisit at some point.
lyrics
Leviathan
Something seething
Ocean water cold and grey
Today
Got no feelin’
Toes and fingers numb as clay
Decay
There’s something there in the water
Hidden underneath the waves
Leviathan
I’ve forgotten the name
What I’m doing here
Leviathan
It’s taken my son
All my children, Lord
Leviathan
Is it some kind of game
See you disappear
Leviathan
And it don’t care where you’re goin’
Got no meanin’
Through the haze I’m losing time
Resigned
Come and see me
My chair and I, we’ll stay behind
It’s fine
Smell the salt in the air, think it’s coming
Maybe it’s all in my mind
Leviathan
I’ve forgotten the name
What I’m doing here
Leviathan
It’s taken my son
All my children, Lord
Leviathan
Is it some kind of game
See you disappear
Leviathan
And it don’t care where you’re goin’
