I think that I started out this week trying to write a song sort of like this one. But, for whatever reason, I worked on a track first, and, somehow, my pensive little folk song became a very Yo La Tengo-ish thing. And there's NOTHING wrong that, and I kinda liked where it was going. But that's not the kind of song I wanted to write this round, so this afternoon, I started completely over and wrote this one from scratch. The lyrics are a waste of ink at this point, but I think I like the melodies and general vibe, so I may come back to this. We'll see ...
