about
alrighty, I hope you appreciate how much I want to stay in. I have the flu, and had my son bring my laptop and keyboard up to my bed so that I could rewrite and record the new version of the song.
I took Doug's advice and completely rewrote lyrics and changed the feel (not as specified, though), I don't know if I really improved the song though. I will let you all decide.
I did leave out the solo section, and return to chorus, so it is a bit shorter, but I felt that I had captured the idea at least.
lyrics
NEW TITLE - The Trouble With Girls
The trouble with girls is no two are the same
They can wear the same clothes or hair, but they’re different inside
They may look so tender, frail to the touch
But they can break a man with just a look, if they tried
CHORUS:
Girls
They can lead you to water/they can make a man drink
Girls
They are someone’s daughter/does that make you think
Girls
The flowers you brought her /they’ll make you a friend
Girls
You do what you ought to/or you’ll find your end
Girls lift you up, they put you down
They get in your head and mess with your pride
They are the fairer and fiercer sex
And if you are lucky one will be your bride
