about

I had fun with this one, wish I had been able to do a few retakes on some guitar and faux bass slop. Maybe some better lyrical ideas too, but started running low on time. Anyways here ya go.

lyrics

The white walls around here falsely give hope
I open the door but it still leads me to nowhere
The business man looks like a devil in hiding.
I think I hear his shadow as it creeps along beside him
I smell a faint scent of sorrow on the suit that he wears
He carries his case and it feels like the weight of the world
With shade on his right he walks to the other side to find some light to warm his ways

We all taste the failures of life sometimes
I pray I smell fortune for myself one day

So the gambling days are all dead and gone for me
The promise that life will be sweeter is a lie and a waste of my time
