This was fun to do. Not many forethought ideas this week, this idea was born today as I was recording. I’ve had limited exposure to this style but did my best to meet the challenge. I’ve always thought there’s a level of humor to this style. Is it meant to help you laugh at what you’re a victim of? I don’t know – but it’s art and in art, anything goes. There’s been some folks in my window that tell lies through mystery and diversion. It’ll never work out for them!
lyrics
Mystery
Don’t even know what you’re talking about
The mouth is open but the words that come out
Don’t make no sense, it’s so easy to see
You’re only makin’ a Mystery
Lookin’ for a pedestal to rise above
You found your weakness in a push and shove
Can’t find another way to be No. 1
No one can hear you when it’s said and done
Paint a picture of a Do-little scene
You show your doctorate in a falicy
Your words are vomit just like Linda Blair
The more you talk the more you go no where
Ooooooooh
I know what’s real, I know what to believe
Ooooooooh
I heard the chorus I don’t need the reprieve
Don’t even know what you’re talking about
The mouth is open but the words that come out
Don’t make no sense, it’s so easy to see
You’re only makin’ a Mystery
I got the medicine that you should take
Get real don’t try to win with fake
The mess you’re making is a cause to disturb
The general public with your made up words
Pan your eyes and you will start to see
You’re only arming up the anarchy
Keep on talking and waving your flag
You’ll find the bottom with no way to get back
Ooooooooh
I got the facts and it ain’t what you say
Ooooooooh
The path is clear I won’t be lead away
Ooooooooh
My exoskeleton is left intact
Ooooooooh
I won’t be held inside your contract
Don’t even know what you’re talking about
The mouth is open but the words that come out
Don’t make no sense, it’s so easy to see
You’re only makin’ a Mystery
Keep on talkin’ and I’ll try to ignore
The false pretenses of your made up war
You’ll see your words are just as clear as mud
The day will come when your attack will leave you wondering, ‘What?’
