Eh, fairly straightfoward. What I lack in tracks in my Logic Pro Project I made up for with tempo and time signature changes. I didn't mean to rip off that one song in the bridge as flagrantly as I ended up doing, but we just won't talk about that, okay? Since last time I was here I've been working on a few things, my piano skills and my fluency with Logic Pro when it comes to writing classical music; which has required tempo and meter changes in my projects, so this track is also an etude in that effort, I guess.
Also, despite the crossover bit in the vocal, that would still only count as two tracks!!
lyrics
Old Man Whiskey
Old man whiskey,
Swear he’ll ease yo’ mind
Take away yo’ burdens
Leave yo’ cares behind
Wetted whistle evenings
Make you feel so alive
But when daybreak come
Got daggers behind your eyes
Slurring out your secrets
Feeling ten feet tall
What’s the good in walking
If you’re crawlin’ you never fall
Sipping amber fire
Burning through the night
Just because you’re loud
Don’t mean you’re right
Slow down, you heard it before
Drooling’ on the steps,
And she’s done locked the front door
You know you could throw a rock
But the cool of the pavement is nice,
Tonight
Someone oughta tan your hide
Gettin’ real tired of the slow mo’ suicide
That ol’ man whiskey
Comin’ for your life.
Old man whiskey,
Promise you the sun
In the heat of Summer
Damn sure ain’t much fun
He ain’t give you lovin’
But never don’t wanna leave
Better let him go
Fo’ ya drown in that amber heat
