I tried to do a hybrid ska/glam rock song. Not happy with the lyrics and lots of stuff to tweak, but as uaual I didn't get time to do this until today.
lyrics
You tell me that you love me
because nobody else quite understands
You’re talented, artistic
But your life’s not working out like you planned
Someone’s always letting you down
Oh, it’s all so unfair
You need someone special like to me
Someone who’ll really care
About your every need
Cuz you’re so precious
You’re my one-way friend
Everything is your way, everything relates to you
You’re my one-way friend
A human-like impostor
Looking at the world askew
Every time I’m with you
I feel like I’m not good enough
You laugh at my desires
Then you ridicule my favorite stuff
You act like you’re just fooling around
Like it’s all fun and games
But I know that you don’t give a damn
So the question remains
What’s in it for me
When it’s all about you
You’re my one-way friend
Everything is your way, everything relates to you
You’re my one-way friend
A human-like impostor
Looking at the world askew
Now I can see that you’re an island
My thoughts and feelings might as well all be silent
You had a special kind of power
But your words have turned from sweet to sour
You’re my one-way friend
Everything is your way, everything relates to you
You’re my one-way friend
A human-like impostor
Looking at the world askew
