This is a rush job so I have a really boring beat and very basic parts, lyrics, yadda yadda. My back gave out on Friday and I had to spend most of that night and Saturday lying down so I didn't get much done. Man, I hate getting old. Looking forward to revising this one. I really did appreciate having the second week during this round. I'm gonna miss it. :(
lyrics
I used to have a love
I thought I’d found kindred soul to share the passing time
And I used to have a crowd of childhood friends who knew me well
To laugh and share the wine
But then things changed
Love turned to pain
I had to tear myself away
From everything I’d known
Out on my own
So far from home
Drowning in the crowded streets
Feeling so alone
Out on my own
A face unknown
Dancing to the city beat
Feeling so alone
Out on my own
So many people every day
Walking right beside
But they don't know me
They all have somewhere else to be
Someone who is waiting for them
But it’s not me
And n o one notices
They pass me by
Where are all the others like me
Afraid to cry
BR-
All I want to find is someone who can see me
And to share the truth of who I really am
All I want to find is someone
Who can understand this yearning
And take my hand
